Go Green

While green technologies and
energy-efficient processes will transform the global economy and enable greater
value creation across many sectors, the skills composition of today’s workforce
is insufficient to enable the speed of green economic growth that is necessary.

This emerging green economy encompasses a
wide range of activities, broadly falling into three buckets: clean energy production,
energy efficiency, and environmental management. Some of the fastest-growing green
occupations include energy auditors and brokers, geographic information system
technicians, and training and development specialists.

Individuals with a foundational
understanding of core green principles and skills across several disciplines
will enable countries to meet a variety of green talent challenges as they
arise.
