Wearable, Interactive and Mobile Technologies Access Centre in Healthcare (WIMTACH)

Description

The Wearable, Interactive and Mobile Technology Access Centre in Health (WIMTACH) focuses on meeting the needs of the digital health technology companies and small medical device companies by providing access to new technologies and multidisciplinary expertise. It offers flexible solutions, funding opportunities, cost-effective resources and training opportunities to industry partners to reduce limitations and increase capacity. Its hackathons, for example, provide companies with an opportunity to network and receive multiple solutions to industry challenges in real-time.

WIMTACH offers product development, technology development, research and commercialization services and the area of expertise includes wearable and medical device development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile applications and gamification.

As the only Technology Access Centre in health in the GTA, WIMTACH’s leadership is far-reaching: over 90 companies, 60 projects and 55 new products and technologies have been developed.
